The Summorum Pontificum pilgrimage has been kicked out of its conference venue for next year. The Augustinianum, a conference venue run by the Augustinian order near St. Peter’s Basilica, will reportedly no longer be available to the Summorum Pontificum pilgrimage from 2027. Luigi Casalini of MessaInLatino.it revealed this in an interview with @Fede & Cultura, citing information from the pilgrimage’s main organizer. Vatican pressure on Italian police? Casalini also said he had been told that the Vatican contacted Italian police to ask whether the procession had all the necessary permits and authorizations.

Pope Leo XIV cancelled his planned attendance, reportedly for health reasons. Bishop Athanasius Schneider accuses Vatican officials of collaborating with European political elites in promoting mass immigration and contributing to Europe's de-Christianization. The number of Ireland’s Catholic bishops could be reduced by as much as a third following Vatican consultations that involved Pope Leo shortly before his election to the papacy last year. Five years ago there were 26 dioceses in Ireland, each with its own bishop. That number could drop to 17 under merger plans for dioceses being considered.
Cardinal Joseph William Tobin of Newark will undergo surgery tomorrow to remove a kidney mass. The Archdiocese reports that tests suggest the mass is confined to the kidney, and doctors are optimistic. Examination after surgery will determine whether it is cancerous and if further treatment is needed. Cardinal Tobin hopes to resume his duties within weeks.

Leo XIV's Vatican makes false claims about the Latin Mass pilgrimage last weekend. Today, the Italian website 'Messa in Latino' has published three letters about the 15th annual Summorum Pontificum pilgrimage. They show that the Vatican Press Office gave a false explanation for the decision to deny Catholics permission to enter St. Peter’s Basilica. The organizers had asked for permission several times. In December 2025, Bishop Athanasius Schneider personally gave a request to Pope Leo XIV. He received no answer. On June 12, Rev.
