Enzo Bianchi, founder of the Monastic Community of Bose, died at the Molinette Hospital in Turin at the age of 83 after kidney failure led to a metabolic coma. Bianchi was a monk but never became a priest. A prolific author, he wrote extensively on Scripture, spirituality and contemporary Christianity. He addressed Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox audiences and became a regular interlocutor of secular intellectuals and non-believers. Bose: From Farmhouse to a Center of Ecumenism Bianchi was born on March 3, 1943, in Castel Boglione, Piedmont. His mother died when he was eight, and he grew up with his atheist and communist father. After studying accounting and beginning economics studies, he chose a different path. In 1965, he settled in a farmhouse at Bose, near Magnano in the province of Biella, arriving on December 8, the final day of the Second Vatican Council. Three years later, others joined him. The community included men and women, Catholics and Protestants. Initially viewed with …მეტი

Bishop Ángel Javier Pérez Pueyo of Barbastro-Monzón, Spain, has said he would offer his resignation rather than sign a settlement under which the statue of Our Lady of the Angels of Torreciudad remains permanently at the Opus Dei sanctuary. The bishop drew his red line in a public letter on 31 August, ahead of the image’s return to its ancient hermitage on 5 September for the 47th Pilgrimage of the Virgins of Ribagorza and Sobrarbe. That return is temporary. It has been authorized by Archbishop Alejandro Arellano Cedillo, the pontifical commissioner for Torreciudad. After the pilgrimage, the image is due to return to the sanctuary. Bishop Pérez Pueyo’s threat concerns the final settlement: he refuses to accept an arrangement under which the statue remains there permanently and returns to the hermitage only on special occasions. He would "never sign such an unlikely act of plundering your dignity," he wrote, adding he would instead offer his resignation. The dispute has effectively been …მეტი
The True Cost Of Following Jesus The gospel reading prompts a reflection on sacrifice for the Lord. True sacrifice involves giving up everything, not just superficial things like potato chips for Lent. The question of how much one is willing to sacrifice for Jesus should be considered, as it reflects the depth of one’s love for Him. Fr. Monsignor Stephen Rossetti, removed in June as an exorcist by Washington Cardinal Robert McElroy, is continuing his deliverance ministry. In an August 3 email to subscribers, Monsignor Rossetti said he remains a priest in good standing in his home Diocese of Syracuse, New York, and will continue his work through the St. Michael Center, which operates within the territory of the Washington archdiocese. On June 3, Cardinal McElroy removed Rossetti as an archdiocesan exorcist and ended all affiliation between the Archdiocese of Washington and Rossetti's St. Michael Center. Monsignor Rossetti argues that he retains priestly faculties in several dioceses and exorcist faculties in two others. He also says his own bishop has encouraged him to continue the ministry. The June controversy followed Rossetti's eccentric claim that UFOs "are, in fact, demons." Cardinal McElroy - who had removed him for this claim - later said the decision was not about UFOs but reflected his view that the role of an …მეტი
Read this garbage: Msgr Rossetti says " sexual abuse of minors by mothers could more easily be disguised as ordinary acts of cleaning, grooming or dressing children." If it is true that he said this, such a thought could only come from a rotten, corrupt mind. Our mothers -our blessed, beloved mothers- could never do such a thing! Thank you, Mom, for taking care of me since I was a baby!
[Saint John Chrysostom – IV-V Century AD; born: Antioch, Roman Empire/died: Comana, Eastern Roman Empire; aged 59-60, Archbishop; Church Father; Doctor of the Church; "golden-mouthed"] Against those who object because the devil has not been put out of the world: and to prove that his wickedness does no harm to us—if we take heed: and concerning repentance. 1. When Isaac, in old time, was desirous to eat a meal at the hands of his son, he sent his son forth from the house to the chace. But when this Isaac was desirous to accept a meal at my hands he did not send me forth from the house, but himself ran to our table. What could be more tenderly affectionate than he? What more humble? Who thought fit to show his warm love thus, and deigned to descend so far. On this account surely, we also having spent the tones of our voice, and the strength of our feet over the morning discourse, when we saw his fatherly face, forgot our weakness, lay aside our fatigue, were uplifted with pleasure; we …მეტი
"For if you lettest the adversary remain, the more slothful are injured, not on account of the more diligent, but by their own slothfulness; whereas if you takest away the antagonist, the more diligent are betrayed on account of the slothful, and neither exhibit their own power, nor win crowns."
Leo XIV’s Appointee Honored as “Masonic Brother” in 2022: On August 13, Leo XIV appointed Rome Professor Umberto Longo to the Vatican’s Pontifical Committee for Historical Sciences. In December 2022, Longo gave a lecture in Venice on the Italian Freemason and comic artist Hugo Pratt (1927–1995). At the end, Gian-Paolo Barbi, Sovereign Grand Commander of the masonic lodge 'Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite', took the floor. He tapped Longo on the shoulder and addressed him as 'il fratello professor Longo' - 'Brother Professor Longo'. The phrase is noteworthy because older Masonic publications from 2013 and 2014 also identify an “Umberto Longo” as a Masonic “Brother” and Scottish Rite officer.
One more mason for the large number of masons in the Vatican. Prevost gives them high positions, to them and to the sodomites. It's more than obvious who Prevost serves.
US Sisters and the Macarena Retirement Tour: The Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR) held its 70th anniversary gathering in Orlando, Florida, from 11 to 14 August. They posted a video on Facebook showing elderly women in civilian clothes dancing the Macarena (1995). The fitting headline: "When Catholic sisters get together, watch out for the dance parties! ". Macarena was popular when the sisters were in their 50s. The LCWR represents the leaders of many women's religious congregations in the United States.
Dance party of "nuns": The LCWR 70th Anniversary Gathering was held August 11–14, 2026, in Orlando, Florida. The event brought together Catholic women and men religious from the United States, Canada, Latin America and other parts of the Americas for prayer, worship, talks, discussion and community events.
And you wonder why vocations to the nunnery have collapsed. People who have a religious vocation take their lives seriously and look for serious opportunities
2. Historical Context and "Dance Manias" Catholic history records instances where mass dancing was interpreted through the lens of spiritual affliction or divine punishment. [1, 2] St. Vitus’ Dance (Chorea): In the Middle Ages, outbreaks of compulsive, uncontrollable dancing (now understood as a neurological or psychological phenomenon) swept through Europe. [1, 2, 3, 4] Spiritual Intercession: Victims were sent to shrines of St. Vitus, a Christian martyr, to pray for deliverance and healing from what many at the time feared was a demonic curse or affliction. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] 3. Ritual Dancing and Entry Points Catholic moral theology warns against practices that willingly open a person up to the influence of evil spirits. Trance Induction: Repetitive, frenzied, or rhythmic dancing used in occult or neo-pagan rituals is designed to lower conscious defenses and alter the state of mind. Worse than Germany: A memorial ceremony for Buddhist woman Marta Pezzati, 59, was held on August 20 in the Catholic Church of San Martino in Rebbio, Como, Italy. Pezzati was president of the volunteer association Como Accoglie and was well known locally for her work assisting migrants and refugees. The ceremony was hosted by the parish priest Giusto Della Valle, who had worked with Pezzati on initiatives involving migrants. Two Buddhist monks participated in the ceremony. One of the monks later told LaNuovaBq.it that the event was “not a Mass and not even a funeral, but a remembrance of Marta's generosity.” He said there had been no Catholic liturgy or Catholic prayer. Priest: “She Found God in Budddha” Video recordings show Father Della Valle and another Catholic priest present wearing an alb and stole. During the ceremony, the two Buddhist monks chanted a Buddhist mantra from the ambo. Father Della Valle also spoke about Pezzati's Buddhist faith. He described her as a “woman of …მეტი
Woman Distributes Communion at Leo XIV’s Eucharist — One Communicant Bare-Chested During the Eucharist celebrated by Leo XIV this evening at the Port of Rimini, a woman was spreading Communion in the hand as if it were cookies. One male attendee even received Communion bare-chested, without a shirt.
Rainbow Dance at the Altar Includes Men in Skirts: On August 15, at the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Torrelavega, Spain, parish priest Juan Carlos Rodríguez del Pozo introduced a “contemplative dance” in which men and women wearing large, rainbow colored skirts danced in a circle around “the table of the Eucharist.” Explaining its symbolism, he said: “We’re going to see many colors, which symbolize… diversity”. After the dance, he added: “We are a welcoming, diverse community, where nobody is superfluous, where we all (todos) feel at home, whoever/however we may be.” In the homily, Rodríguez del Pozo rejected a faithful understanding of Our Lady’s bodily Assumption: “No human being is going to ascend to heaven body and soul.”
1 Corinthians 3:1-9 "I belong to Paul," "I belong to Apollos." We belong to no one. God loves us; let us allow God to love us. Luke 4:38-44 "To the other towns also I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God." The Good News is joy and peace. Let us allow people to discover these within themselves. Biblical texts: NAB-RE Normand Thomas.
For over a thousand years the Church had ember and rogation days. Then Vatican II abolished this traditional custom, where fasting and prayers for all of God's creation was performed. There were also processions and blessings of fields and crops.
