Former Italian priest Luca Favarin, 54, has become a father. After 25 years as a priest in the Diocese of Padua, Favarin welcomed his son Zaccaria on September 28. “If necessary, I will have the courage to die for you, because I have seen the most beautiful thing: the birth of a child,” he wrote on facebook. Favarin became known for his work with illegal immigrants, prisoners and people on the margins, as well as his commitment to homosexual privileges. He also denied Catholic teaching on assisted dying. After conflicts with his diocese and suspension, he left the clerical state in 2023. Pope Leo XIV has appointed Bishop Pierre Goudreault - open to married priests - as the new bishop of Trois-Rivières, Quebec. Bishop Goudreault, 63, has governed Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière since 2018 and has headed the Canadian bishops’ conference since September 2025. The only reason why I decided to write and tell you what GOD has done for me is because for the second time I just heard that we should share the good GOD does for us. Or otherwise, I would have kept it to myself as I usually do. So many of my questions answered through your posts. And I am thankful for all of them.
Just so you know Andrew. Usually, but not always, when I give your post both a like and a love it means GOD has answered another one of my questions. I don't always do that though. Know it is when GOD answers me. And usually right after I ask Him what is bothering me. This has always been through your posts starting years ago. During my morning and midnight prayers I ask and plead with GOD to please send me a Holy person to help me. I now switched it to, If it's not Your Will I meet a Holy Person, please answer my questions through other means. Which He usually does. And today I find three of some of the ones that have bothered me the most. However there is one that still bothers me. Years ago I was answered a question about suffering. GOD answered me immediately through your post. Then again another question which was very important to me.
