Villanova University Scandals
CardinalNewmanSociety.org has repeatedly criticized Villanova in recent years, particularly over homosexual activism. Some of its principal criticisms include:
- Villanova's promotion of Pride Month and reported that the university's annual Pride Week included events such as "Gay Prom" and "Drag Bingo."
- Naomi Washington-Leapheart is an adjunct professor of Theology and Religious Studies at Villanova and publicly identifies as “queer”.
- Villanova's 2022 Gender Inclusive Practices Guide, which encourages …Дукха

Nigerian Priest Dies by Suicide Before Forced Return to Africa

Father Benjamin Okwy Madu, 54, a Nigerian Catholic priest serving in the Archdiocese of Boston, died by suicide on July 2.
The tragic sin happened weeks before his U.S. religious-worker visa expired and he was required to return to Nigeria.
He had served as a hospital chaplain and a weekend Mass celebrant for a parish collective on Cape Ann.
An email message on behalf of Archbishop Richard Henning said the priest “tragically took his own life.”
Friends and parishioners said the prospect of leaving America deeply distressed him. "I sensed he was afraid of something. He never would communicate what it was." — George Lieser, parishioner at St. Joachim Church, told ACI Africa on July 14.
Days before his death, he reportedly suffered a panic attack on his way to celebrate Mass.
In a farewell letter, he admitted that returning to Nigeria was "not my wish," but said circumstances beyond his control had ended his ministry in the United States.

Suicide is never permited, true, unless... THE only cases ARE when Almighty Father MAY grant Mercy to those with Clinical evidence.
There are some illneses like for example acumulation of lewy bodies in the brain (Robin Williams is one case as example) replication of dna like huntigton's disease... The individual, clinically speaking, dont have rationality when their brains are compromised biologically with strange and weird diseases. Again, God is the Righteous and Ultimate Judge, He may or may not take that into account, but it is more likely than not that He will. I surrender to His Might and Divine and Just Mercy as He knows best.

Laicized Right Before the Conclave: The Priest Who Accused Leo XIV of Covering Up Abuse

Laicized Right Before the Conclave: The Priest Who Accused Leo XIV of Covering Up Abuse Laicized Right Before the Conclave: The Priest Who Accused Leo XIV of Covering Up Abuse See More A monsignor with decades of service in canon law, including work in Peru and the Diocese of Colorado Springs, was laicized just days before the conclave that elected Pope Leo XIV. He claims it was not justice. It was retaliation. The monsignor alleges that false accusations, manipulated evidence, and irregular canonical procedures were used to destroy his reputation after he defended alleged abuse victims and publicly criticized influential Church leaders. He says he was never shown a formal decree of dismissal. He says due process was never afforded. He says the Church authorities who destroyed him relied on power, not law. At the center of his accusations: Pope Leo XIV, then Cardinal Robert Prevost, whom the monsignor accuses of covering up abuse and orchestrating his removal. He also names Bishop Michael …

Bellaigue's Benedictine Monks Falling Apart: Alleged Revolt - Kidnapping Investigation

The monk who disappeared during the night of June 23–24 from Notre-Dame de Bellaigue Abbey in central France was Dom Placide Dumas, prior of the monastery.
His absence was discovered at Matins the following morning. More than two days later, he was found injured in the neighboring department of Haute-Vienne. French prosecutors opened an investigation for kidnapping and unlawful confinement.
French media report that he was found bearing injuries consistent with an assault, although authorities have not disclosed the nature of his injuries or explained how he came to be in Haute-Vienne.
Eleven monks allegedly attempted to take control of the monastery on the same night that Dom Placide disappeared.
An email sent from Dom Placide's account announced his resignation as prior. Investigators are trying to determine whether he wrote it voluntarily, under duress, or whether someone else sent it. They also reportedly found his room completely emptied and carefully cleaned, suggesting his departure …Дукха

Mary Magdalene: Faith, Courage, and an Empty Tomb — Beyond These Stone Walls

History unjustly sullied her name without evidence, but Mary Magdalene emerges from the Gospel a faithful, courageous and noble woman, an apostle to the Apostles. Within the Octave of Easter by Father Gordon MacRae As an imprisoned priest, a communal celebration of the Easter Triduum is not available to me. My celebration of this week is for the most part limited to a private Mass using the Roman Missal. Still, over all the years in which I have been writing for this blog, I have always agonized about Holy Week posts. I feel a special duty to contribute what little I can to the Church’s volume of reflection on the meaning of this week. Though I have little in the way of resources beyond what is in my own mind, I feel an obligation in this of all weeks to “get it right,” and leave something a reader might return to. So I have focused in past Holy Week posts not so much on the meaning of the events of the Passion of the Christ, but on the characters central to those events. In so doing, …

'I always liked that Pope Francis would just throw these bombs out there in the media because it would force a conversation. Sometimes, he would say things that I would say, ‘Wait a second, is that actually consistent or is that correct?’ because it would force a conversation' JD Vance speaking to Bishop Robert Barron

U.S. Vice President JD Vance praised Pope Francis in a recent interview with Bishop Robert Barron for being a “kind of genius” at forcing conversation with rhetorical “bombs.”

Conservative US bishop calls FSSPX just another Protestant sect: In a YouTube video posted on 13 July, conservative Bishop Thomas Paprocki of Springfield in Illinois, USA, said that the main problem with the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X is their defiance of papal authority. 'By disobeying the Pope and rejecting the teachings of the Second Vatican Council, the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X has essentially become another Protestant sect that believes it is right and the Pope is wrong.' Monsignor Paprocki also noted that, while there are currently 53,000 Christian denominations, Christ founded only one Church.

Entrusting to the saint his plea for peace in regions torn by war and violence, the Pope joined the Benedictine community in prayer before sharing lunch with the monks.

Light Inside Monstrance for Artistic Effect A Madrid sacristan told Betania TV on July 15 that a priest used a light behind - or allegedly in place of - the consecrated Host during Eucharistic Adoration to create a more artistic visual effect. The sacristan said he was instructed to tape the light directly to the holder of the Host because placing it outside the glass did not produce the desired effect. He also urged priests not to "use Christ" for emotional effect.

Marx and Luther in the New French Missal

– Folha de S. Paulo, September 13, 1983 –
by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira
FRANCE, first-born daughter of the Church, was brilliant down through the centuries in the acts of its illustrious children in favor of the preservation and expansion of the Mystical Body of Christ.
It is precisely in France that the “New Sunday Missal — 1983” is circulating widely and with impunity. The work, carrying the Imprimatur (6/26/82) of Msgr. R. Boudon, Bishop of Mende and President of the French Language Liturgical Commission, has not been condemned so far.
Its pages thus continue to intoxicate countless French-speaking faithful seeking there the invaluable inspiration of liturgical texts that conform to the perennial teaching of the Church, but also finding texts profoundly discrepant from the Catholic spirit.
Here I will limit myself to comment on three characteristic topics of the Nouveau Missel.
At the end of the Mass for Sunday, March 13, page 139, the “New Missal” says this of… Marx! Yes, you are …Дукха

No doubt the perpetrators and facilitators of this tripe were excommunicated. (No?! You'd have to be an unofficial bishop who follows the teachings of the Church pre-Vat 2 to warrant that.) If there is 'schism' in the air, it is being fueled by both sides of this debacle. The Church must get its act together.

To celebrate the 1,250th anniversary of the Westphalian State in Germany, a performance was staged inside Paderborn Cathedral last year. This is one of the acts that was presented, featuring dead chickens wrapped in diapers. Faced with the outrage of the Catholic faithful, archdiocesan authorities apologized and stated that they were unaware of the nature of the performance that was to take place.

The name "Fatima" in Portugal originates from the Arabic feminine name Fátima, linked to a Moorish princess who converted to Christianity during the Reconquista
In 1916, during the apparitions at Fatima, the children, Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta, were instructed by the Angel of Peace to bow their heads to the ground and pray. They were taught to repeat the prayer: "My God, I believe, I adore, I hope, and I love Thee. I ask pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope, and do not love Thee." Faithful Lay Catholics Confront Scandalous San Diego Pride Mass

Faithful Lay Catholics Confront Scandalous San Diego Pride Mass For many years, faithful Catholics have endured a disturbing pro-LGBT turn in many of their churches. But lately, in some places, that has gone completely overboard. And many Catholics have had enough of it. The Hillcrest neighborhood of San Diego is the most “LGBTQ+” area in town. One would hope that the most prominent Catholic Church there, St. John the Evangelist, would be a beacon of light and truth on that issue. But sadly, it has gone in the other direction. Throughout San Diego County, July 11-19 has been designated as “San Diego Pride Week” by the various LGBT organizations – with the Hillcrest neighborhood being the center of activities. As part of that, the St. John the Evangelist Church advertised that it would have an LGBT-themed “All Are Welcome Mass” on Sunday, July 12. When our MassResistance Catholic leaders in San Diego saw that promotion, they contacted us. They wanted to do something to confront this …

“Who is Edgar Rimaycuna, the personal secretary and right-hand man of Leo XIV?
(Excerpt from the article "Sodom in the Vatican" by Rodrigo Simón Rey, Cope, May 14, 2025)
Edgar Rimaycuna is just 36 years old and is already the Pope’s Personal Secretary. He is a Peruvian priest, born in Chiclayo — the diocese where Robert Prevost served as bishop for a decade. It was in Chiclayo that he met Prevost in 2016. Edgar, who at the time was a 16 or 17 year-old seminarian, never left the side of “Father Roberto,” whom he regarded as a spiritual father and, over the years, a friend.
The Pope began working with Edgar when he was appointed Bishop of Chiclayo. The Peruvian priest became his trusted right-hand man until 2023, when Prevost was made a cardinal and Pope Francis brought him to the Vatican as Prefect of the Dicastery for Bishops.
The words Edgar addressed to him upon his departure say a great deal about their bond:
