On 2 May, the Apostolic Nuncio to Poland, Antonio Filipazzi, conferred the Sacrament of Confirmation in the Roman rite on 50 young people close to the Institute of the Good Shepherd in Poland. The ceremony took place at the former Camaldolese church in Bielany, Warsaw. Afterwards, a Mass was celebrated, with the nuncio assisting from the throne. The Institute of the Good Shepherd has been working in the Archdiocese of Warsaw for 10 years. Archbishop Filipazzi is a papal loyalist. He praised Pope Francis in 2025 as an "untiring shepherd of the universal Church" who devoted "all his energy to the Church and to all humanity". #newsRokhnoszqy
Maxpein @maximumpain333 Scientists hooked electrodes up to Tibetan monks during deep meditation — expecting to see relaxed, quiet brain activity. What they recorded instead stopped them cold. Gamma waves. At amplitudes never measured in any normal human brain before. Levels so high that researchers hadn't even considered them possible to sustain in a conscious person. These monks weren't just calm. Their brains were operating on a frequency that didn't exist in scientific literature until that moment. But here's the part that should make you stop scrolling. These monks weren't doing anything new. The practices they were using — the specific meditation techniques, the concentrated attention, the precise mental training — were thousands of years old. Passed down through lineages that stretch back further than most recorded history. Tibetan Buddhist traditions had been deliberately training the mind this way for centuries before a single neuroscientist existed on this planet. They didn't …Zêde
In his book Popes, Dollars, and War, Italian journalist Massimo Franco claims that Leo XIV was elected, in part, to help bring American donors and dollars back to the Vatican. Franco found an anonymous cardinal who said that "the combination of doctrine and dollars won". And: "The American bishops were tired of being criticised [under Francis] and decided to make themselves heard [...] The new incentive is money, first used against Francis and then in the conclave to elect Prevost." During the pre-conclave meetings, Japanese cardinal Tarcisio Kikuchi said: "Are politics involved in the Conclave? No, I don’t think so. But maybe money." Cardinal Reinhard Marx dedicated a full day of the pre-conclave discussion to the Holy See’s finances. Cardinal Müller responded back then, "Enough! We have to elect the successor of Peter, not Judas!" At a book presentation in Rome on 27 April, Cardinal Gerhard Müller rejected the hypothesis that money played a role in Leo XIV’s election with an outright …Zêde
'It is granted to few to recognize the true Church amid the darkness of so many schisms and heresies, and to fewer still so to love the truth which they have seen as to fly to its embrace.' St. Robert Bellarmine, Doctor of the Church 'Know you not that the unjust shall not possess the kingdom of God? Do not err: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, Nor the effeminate, nor liers with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor railers, nor extortioners, shall possess the kingdom of God.' 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 'Yes, indeed, many will be damned; few will be saved.' St. Benedict Joseph Labre 'The path to Heaven is narrow, rough and full of wearisome and trying ascents, nor can it be trodden without great toil; and therefore wrong is their way, gross their error, and assured their ruin who, after the testimony of so many thousands of saints, will not learn where to settle their footing.' A newly emerged letter from pro-homosexual Cardinal Tucho Fernández, soft-porn author and Prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, has revealed that he warned the German bishops in 2024 against proceeding with their proposed homosexual blessings. Dated 18 November 2024, the letter was addressed to Bishop Stephan Ackermann of Trier, who is responsible for liturgy. It was published today on X.com by Mexican priest Jorge Enrique Mújica, head of Zenit.org. In the letter, Tucho states that the German bishops’ proposed guidelines for blessings “effectively legitimise the status of such couples” and therefore contradict his homosexual pamphlet Fiducia Supplicans. He also criticises the German text for creating what amounts to “a kind of liturgy or para-liturgy” for homosexual blessings. Specifically, Tucho rejected: • the treatment of homosexual unions as a status to be publicly recognised, • the inclusion of ritual elements resembling marriage ceremonies, • prescribed …Zêde

Mel Gibson’s The Resurrection of the Christ, the official sequel to The Passion of the Christ, has completed filming in Italy, with Part One slated for release on March 26, 2027.
The agency KNA notes that Leo XIV's thinking was shaped by the ideas and terminology of Latin American liberation theology, referring to an address he delivered on 2 March 2002 in Iquitos, Peru. This text has been published in a book released today, which contains essays, sermons and speeches from the years 2001 to 2013. Key quotes from Fr Robert Prevost: - The reality of unjust poverty and marginalisation is one of the most pressing problems in today's world, not only in the "Third World". - No one can be a Christian today and remain detached from the "cry of the poor" and the struggle for justice. The destitution of millions of people is a true 'sacrament' of sin in the world. - Development is an integral part of evangelisation. Pastoral activity goes beyond what is merely "religious", in accordance with the Church's social teaching and the urgency of the preferential option for the poor.' This must be applied not only to indigenous peoples, who are often the poorest of the poor, but …Zêde
Canadian Doctors Try to Railroad Catholic Priest into 'Assisted Suicide' Over Broken Hip | Frank Bergman, Slay News A Canadian Catholic priest is sounding the alarm after doctors tried to pressure him into “assisted suicide” twice while recovering from a broken hip in a hospital, despite him telling them that euthanasia goes against his beliefs. Father Larry Holland, a 79-year-old priest from the Archdiocese of Vancouver, was horrified that Canadian government-sanctioned doctors attempted to railroad him into being euthanized, despite not being terminally ill. The priest’s alarming story underscores growing concerns that Canada’s state-sanctioned assisted suicide program is spiraling far beyond its original limits. Holland said he was “very shocked” after medical pushed so-called “Medical Assistance in Dying” (MAiD) as an “option” during his recovery from a hip fracture. Priest Offered Death While Recovering, Not Dying Holland broke his hip after falling on Christmas Day. He is …Zêde
The Transalpine Redemptorist community has proclaimed itself sedevacantist. In a letter dated 2 May, they wrote: "The pre-Vatican II popes condemned indifferentism as a deadly heresy. The post-Vatican II claimants to the papacy have embraced it, promoted it and acted upon it." The group has three monasteries. The community's mother house is located in Papa Stronsay, Orkney, Scotland. They also have a house in the Diocese of Christchurch, New Zealand, and a pioneer community in the Diocese of Great Falls–Billings, Montana, USA. In 2008, they broke away from the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X in order to obtain regularisation from the Vatican, they were then invited by diocesan bishops to establish priories in New Zealand and Montana. Critics accuse the community of fostering a personality cult surrounding the two leading priests. In their new letter, signed by all the members, they state that "the modernist presence within the structures and hierarchy of the official Church has gone …Zêde
Unfortunately, their statement (in spite of many precious remarks and quotations, and in spite of their courage amidst the present standard of "dumb dog") is somewhat absurd. They call for the "imperfect council" to judge the matter of post-conciliar popes and pronounce canonical judgement on Prevost but at the same time they want to see at the council only those who have already judged the above claiming that - starting from Montini up to Prevost - there was no pope. Thus, it would be the council of the matter already judged. Second thing is a quite grotesque perception of the Petrine office i.e. Pope never errs, also in questions of discipline, so you cannot resist him in any matter - all you can do is... just proclaim that he is no Pope at all. Third is the question of distinctions between heresy and proposal close to heresy or one that favors heresy or error - only heresy (public and notorious) excludes from the Church (thus the Petrine Office), the error does not.

Mother Miriam: "I disagree with the pope seeking unity with muslims. Unity without truth leads people to hell." God bless Mother Miriam, she doesn’t stay quiet like some bishops and priests who swore to drink our Lord’s chalice.
What an excellent essay. St. Athanasius uses a similar technique to that used by the prophet Daniel in defending the accused wife (who reminds us so much of a faithful Catholic woman). St. Athanasius also has a prophetic defense against contraception. Leo XIV is set to sign his first encyclical on May 15, according to the German news agency KNA. The working title is Magnifica humanitas. Reports suggest, the encyclical will address expected to address issues including artificial intelligence, peace, the crisis of international law, and other contemporary threats facing humanity. The May 15 date would place Leo XIV’s first encyclical in the tradition of the Church’s great social teachings: • 15 May 1891: Rerum Novarum by Pope Leo XIII - foundational text of modern Catholic social teaching. • 15 May 1931: Quadragesimo anno by Pope Pius XI - developed subsidiarity and social doctrine further. • 15 May 1961: Mater et magistra by Pope John XXIII - focused on labor and economic justice. "My research began in 2022 with an investigation into Russian intelligence active measures targeting the American right. This focus quickly expanded into multiple additional lines of research. The first examined the continuity of Soviet-era intelligence operations into post-Soviet Russia and the activities of prominent former Communists and KGB officers in the post-Soviet era. From there, I began researching domestic communist and radical leftist groups and their ties to foreign governments.
