A Massachusetts family says the state took custody of their teenage daughter. The parents say it happened after they refused to affirm her as a boy, citing their Catholic faith.
Joseph and Arlene Kutzko say a counsellor at Algonquin Regional High School socially "transitioned" their daughter Sophie with a male name and pronouns without their knowledge, then reported the family to the Department of Children and Families (DCF).
Their attorney, Vernadette Broyles, says an abuse allegation against the father was found unsupported.
The state now has guardianship, while a restraining order prevents Sophie’s parents and older brother from contacting her.
The family says DCF sought to administer high-dose testosterone, but a judge has temporarily blocked the treatment as they fight the case. The next court hearing is October 29.

Toronto Archdiocese cracks down on the traditional Latin Masses.
Cardinal Francis Leo of Toronto, Canada, is implementing 'Traditionis Custodes', effective next Sunday.
VoxCantor.blogspot.com published a terrifying detail: One Sunday per month, the Novus Ordo must be said.
At the parish St. Vincent, the old high altar will be used. At the parish Holy Family the Novus Ordo will be presided over with the back to God facing the people.
And: No other sacraments are permitted according to the 1962 usage.
There are four major parish churches in the Archdiocese of Toronto celebrating the Roman rite:
- St. Lawrence the Martyr Parish — Scarborough
- St. Patrick’s Parish — Schomberg
- Holy Family Parish — Toronto
- St. Vincent de Paul Parish — Toronto
The Masses at Schomberg and Scarborough have existed for over 40 years.
All four parishes have sufficient Novus Ordo Eucharists in various languages.
The numbers are interesting, too. At these four Masses and two celebrated by the Priestly Fraternity …зиёдтар

Autumn Ember Days is coming!
Today (September 14) is the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. Autumn Ember Days follows this feast day. I don't know what days we fast for 2026! My guess is Sept 16, 18, 19. Some sources say Sept 23, 25, 26. It probably does not matter which week you choose. I intend to fast starting the Wednesday, September 16.

RARE MOVE by a Virginia Bishop Ahead of Election Day "Catholic Bishop Michael Burbidge says he has never before asked every priest in his diocese to do what he requested this weekend: read a letter at Mass urging Catholics to oppose two Virginia constitutional amendments on abortion and marriage." "Across 70 parishes serving more than 430,000 Catholics in Northern Virginia, worshippers heard Burbidge warn against what he called 'two dangerous ballot initiatives'—proposed constitutional amendments that Virginians will decide Nov. 3. Early voting begins Friday."

Leo XIV increases salaries for cardinals and senior Vatican officials.
Today, Leo XIV has abolished the pay cuts introduced by Francis in 2021. Francis had ordered a 10% salary cut for cardinals working for the Holy See and an 8% reduction for senior officials and curial secretaries as the Vatican faced financial difficulties. Other clergy and religious employees initially faced a 3% cut, which was abolished in 2025.
Leo XIV’s new motu proprio, effective September 1, abrogates the 2021 decree in its entirety.
He claimed the measures had been necessary due to the “exceptional challenge of the pandemic,” but could now be superseded as the Holy See and Vatican City pursue economic sustainability “through different instruments.”

Leo XIV has Vatican building constructed to accumulate more and more things.
In a chirograph issued today, Leo XIV has announced a new building inside Vatican City for the Apostolic Archive and Library. The vast and growing collections have exhausted existing storage capacity. Leo XIV cites the “considerable increase” in the Holy See’s bibliographical holdings and documentary output.
No budget, architect, building dimensions, construction timetable or completion date has been announced.
The complex will rise in the Fontana dell’Autoparco area. Space will be divided equitably between the Archive and Library, with part reserved for other Vatican City services.
The decision modifies a plan approved by Francis in 2024, which envisaged new storage in the extraterritorial Lateran area.
The scale is enormous: the Apostolic Archive holds more than 600 archival fonds spanning roughly 12 centuries and over 85 km of shelving. The Library preserves around 180,000 manuscripts and archival documents …зиёдтар

In Canada, Abdul Aziz Kawam, an Islamic scum born in Saudi Arabia, asked a Canadian on the street if he was Muslim.
When the Canadian replied no, Kawam stabbed him, after invoking Allah.
Kawam then got on a bus and tried to slit the throat of another Canadian.
Kawam told the police that he had done it "in the name of the Islamic State" to which he had pledged allegiance.
His two victims survived.
Kawam was convicted of attempted murder in connection with a terrorist organization.
This is what the traitors who lead us force us to accept in the name of a humanism that they systematically exclude their own people from.

For British schoolchildren, 1066 is a talismanic year: the year of the Norman Conquest, when a dispute over the royal succession transformed the entire structure of England.
William, the duke of Normandy — that’s whom Harold has gone abroad to meet — will cross the Channel himself in 1066, and rout Harold’s forces at the Battle of Hastings on Oct. 14. By Christmas, the foreigner will be crowned at Westminster Abbey, as William I of England. To posterity, he will be known as William the Conqueror. The conquest is reliably illustrated in those students’ textbooks with images of the Bayeux Tapestry, a 230-foot textile record of William’s victory.

"Therefore, because I see and know all things, you might ask me why I do not take evildoers away before they fall into the depths of sin. I myself asked the question and I myself will answer it for you: I am the Creator of all things, and all things are foreknown to me. I know and see all that has been and all that will be. But, although I know and can do all things, still, for reasons of justice, I no more interfere with the natural constitution of the body than I do with the inclination of the soul. Each human being continues in existence according to the natural constitution of the body such as it is and was from all eternity in my foreknowledge. The fact that one person has a longer life and another a shorter has to do with natural strength or weakness and is related to a person's physical constitution. It is not due to my foreknowledge that one person loses his sight or another becomes lame or something like that, since my foreknowledge of all things is such that no one is the worse …зиёдтар

'The Revelations of Saint Bridget of Sweden'; ~ ‘The Son's instruction to the bride about the devil;…'; Book II; Chapter 1; part I
[Saint Bridget of Sweden/ Heliga Birgitta; XIV Century AD: aged 69-70; born: Uppland, Sweden/died: Rome, Papal States; Widow, Mystic; Spiritual Writer; Founder; Patroness of Europe]

Chapter 1 ~ The Son's instruction to the bride about the devil; the Son's answer to the bride about why he does not remove evildoers before they fall into sin; and about how the kingdom of heaven is given to baptized persons who die before reaching the age of discretion.
The Son spoke to the bride, saying: ”When the devil tempts you, tell him these three things:
'The words of God cannot be anything but true.'
Second: 'Nothing is impossible for God, because he can do all things.'
Third: 'You, devil, could not give me so great a fervor of love as that which God gives me.' ”
Again the Lord spoke to the bride, saying:

Pope celebrates his 71st birthday but it’s Vatican employees who get the gift
The Vatican published a papal decree repealing 2021 salary cuts that Pope Francis had imposed on many Vatican employees as part of the Holy See’s COVID-19 cost-saving measures.
DRM News
In the decree, Leo said the salary-containing measures “can now be overcome, in the certainty that the institutions of the Holy See and the Vatican City State will continue, through various means, their commitment to ensuring economic sustainability.”
The unpopular salary cuts had included a 10% cut on pay for cardinals and smaller percentage salary cuts for office heads and lower-ranking priests and nuns. Biennial pay raises were frozen for senior lay employees, though lower-ranking lay employees continued to receive raises.
Francis had reasoned at the time that the cuts were necessary to save jobs, given the Holy See was also facing a structural deficit, estimated then at around 70 million euros, and a 1 billion euro ($1.14 …зиёдтар
