Francis’s “passionate commitment to changing things” and Leo’s “ministry of unity” are “perfectly complementary”, English pro-homosexual Cardinal Timothy Radcliffe told Repubblica.it on February 16. Leo XIV entrusted Cardinal Radcliffe with the introductory meditation for the January Consistory. When asked if Leo XIV will continue or correct Francis’s synodal impulse, Radcliffe replied that the synod is continually evolving: "Leo XIV is already advancing synodality in an exciting way." A Few Catholics Make A Lot of Noise Progressive Cardinal Radcliffe stated that the polarization between “traditionalists” and “progressives” is foreign to Catholicism. He added that "there are only a few people who fall into this trap, although they make a lot of noise." In response to being labeled progressive, Cardinal Radcliffe attacks: "Those who condemn me usually haven't read anything I've written. As a Catholic, I cannot accept being put in such a small box. As the Australian novelist Richard …තව
Pope Pius IX ~~~ Pope Pius IX condemned the proposition that 'Every man is free to embrace and profess that religion, which, guided by the light of reason...,'
"Let the bridegroom leave his room, and the bride her chamber." That's Joel 2:16, today's reading for Ash Wednesday. When's the last time you heard a homily on *that* part? The prophet is calling the whole community to fasting and repentance—and he specifically mentions newlyweds. Even they must leave their bridal chamber and join the assembly in sackcloth. The honeymoon can wait. God is calling. For most of Christian history, married couples understood this literally. Lent meant sexual abstinence—forty days, the whole season. It wasn't a fringe practice. It was normal. Jerome taught it. Augustine assumed it. Medieval penitentials prescribed it. Your great-grandmother's generation probably still whispered about it. Now? Crickets. Try suggesting it today and watch the think-pieces roll in about "unhealthy attitudes toward sexuality" and "inadequate theology of marriage." We've spent sixty years talking about marital intimacy as a "gift from God," as if the marriage bed were something …තව

The Eclipse (Short history of post-conciliarism) 1. Ignore the World War II memento, never mind Cold War clouds that loom, new spring we start, aggiornamento, so woe to all those seers of doom. Let people make their new investments, restore all things in wordly goals, behold the KGB in vestments, welcome the AJC in shawls. Old-fashioned visions of Don Bosco, Fatima secrets – we don’t see, Good Pope John smiled at blood-red Moscow, Good Pope John smiled at NYC. 2. So many fathers sit in sessions but most of them just love to nod, robbing Our King of His possessions, for lesser glory of Lord God. Behold the Table, down with Ara, give ecumenism a free pass, so tell me how much is a tiara? and what’s the worth of the ancient Mass? Here come observers – a whole legion and break the liturgical yoke, Sad Pope Paul met the man’s religion and Sad Pope Paul ignored the smoke. 3. New hope arrives for people waiting, New Advent bells begin to ring and all the earth is celebrating Midsummer of …තව
Eclipse of the mind? Eclipse of the Church? Or perhaps eclipse of the Catholics ? Anyway, Mr VRS has listed almost all the atrocities we've witnessed over the last 50 years of the 20th century. He did it concisely, symbolically and tastefully. Of course, the actors, i.e., the wolves on stage playing the role of sheep, are exposed here. Lest we forget them- the actors playing the leading roles. Lest we be fooled by their false smiles, their perfidious gestures and their would-be holiness.
Farmer's a traditional Catholic. I think he means it literally - people are waking up to the reality of Christ - of becoming more conscience of needing Christ as the influence of the Anti-Christ grows.
Bishop Schneider on the FSSPX, Cardinal Fernández and Vatican II: On February 16, Bishop Athanasius Schneider told Robert Moynihan that the Church should adopt a more generous and pastoral approach toward the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X (FSSPX). Instead of imposing rigid preconditions, he recommended granting them a minimum level of canonical integration first and continuing doctrinal discussions within that framework. Bishop Schneider described Cardinal Fernández’s current approach as unrealistic, harsh, and unpastoral. Regarding Vatican II, Bishop Schneider said that Cardinal Fernández is incorrect in claiming that the Council’s texts cannot be modified. He noted that only Sacred Scripture and dogmas proclaimed ex cathedra are unchangeable. Since the Second Vatican Council was described by John XXIII and later reaffirmed by Paul VI as pastoral rather than dogmatic, its formulations can, in principle, be corrected. As a historical example, Bishop Schneider pointed out that …තව
In a February interview with Robert Moynihan, Bishop Athanasius Schneider addressed the SSPX and pushed back on Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández’s claim that Vatican II’s texts “cannot be modified.” Vatican II, as stated by Pope John XXIII and Pope Paul VI, was a pastoral council, not dogmatic. He cited the Fourth Lateran Council (1215) as an example of a council containing disciplinary statements the Church would not uphold today. On the SSPX, Schneider proposed bringing them into minimum canonical integration first, then continuing doctrinal dialogue. He warned that harshness risks creating long-term alienation and contrasted the Vatican’s strictness toward the SSPX with what he sees as a more accommodating approach toward China.
Mardi Gras in New Orleans became perverted by every means. *** The same has happened by purposeful design pertaining to most Catholic Holy Days and Traditions as is predominantly the battle waged to serve the unchristianization of the world by every possible Anti-Catholic method. This has all been accomplished through programmed mind control regarding political forces of Modernism and the Vatican 2 counterfeit ideas to establish false equality, false tolerance, false freedom, false ecumenism, and so much else that is pleasing to satan which has been carried out by his minions on his behalf and on their own behalf.
The Gospel according to St Luke tells the story of Jesus, revealed to be Son of God, led into the desert to be tested by the devil who does not give up easily.
Torn, Dirt-Stained Cloth as Lenten Installation in Cathedral: During Lent 2026, the installation “Trauerfetzen” is displayed in the Cathedral in Innsbruck, Austria. The work consists of 20 burnt, smoke-treated and weathered cotton cloths sewn together into a 140-square-meter structure suspended within the cathedral space. Innsbruck diocese is ruined by Bishop Hermann Glettler.
