Saint Asteria of Bergamo | Martyred for Honouring the Christian Dead | Feast Day August 10 Today, we remember Saint Asteria of Bergamo, an early Christian virgin and martyr traditionally honoured on August 10. Saint Asteria is associated with Bergamo in northern Italy and the era of persecution under the Roman Emperors Diocletian and Maximian, around the beginning of the 4th century. According to Christian tradition, Asteria courageously helped recover and bury the bodies of Christians who had been martyred. This might sound like a simple act of kindness today. But during periods of Roman persecution, publicly caring for the bodies of executed Christians could reveal that someone belonged to—or sympathised with—the Christian community. Asteria nevertheless chose mercy over fear. She believed that those who had died for Christ deserved to be treated with dignity and given an honourable burial. Her actions eventually brought her to the attention of the authorities. Tradition remembers …More

Biblical Cosmology: The Earth Is a Stationary Plane Beneath the Celestial Vault - The Bible makes no mention of outer space or the trillions upon trillions of other planets that modern astronomers claim exist. Nor does it mention a Big Bang beginning or the force of gravity that keeps people and oceans attached to all sides of a rotating sphere. The cosmology described in the Bible is clearly geocentric, fixed, and motionless, with a flat Earth. Source:youtube.com/watch?v=mkDfxFR5gwg
10.08.2026 IL MESSAGGERO REPORTS ON SSPX ORDINATION DO NOT SAY THAT VATICAN COUNCIL II IS DOGMATIC AND ECCLESIOCENTRIC : CARD. FERNANDEZ IS IN SCHISM The Il Messaggerro reports on the SSPX ordination of bishops, has not mentioned that the SSPX rejects the irrational interpretation of Vatican Council II and the rational interpretation of the Council would support them and place Cardinal Fernandez in public schism with the past Magisterium over the centuries.1 The reports do not state that according to the Lionel Andrades interpretation of Vatican Council II Cardinal Fernandez could have chosen the rational interpretation of the Council and Catechism and other magisterial documents. This would mean the Council and Catechism would be aligned with Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre and the traditionalists and Fr. Leonard Feeney of Boston and the St. Benedict Center- and not Rahner, Ratzinger, Congar and Balthazar and the popes from Paul VI to Leo XIV. So the reports were one sided and biased. They …More

Monsignor Stephen Rossetti, removed in June as an exorcist by Washington Cardinal Robert McElroy, is continuing his deliverance ministry. In an August 3 email to subscribers, Monsignor Rossetti said he remains a priest in good standing in his home Diocese of Syracuse, New York, and will continue his work through the St. Michael Center, which operates within the territory of the Washington archdiocese. On June 3, Cardinal McElroy removed Rossetti as an archdiocesan exorcist and ended all affiliation between the Archdiocese of Washington and Rossetti's St. Michael Center. Monsignor Rossetti argues that he retains priestly faculties in several dioceses and exorcist faculties in two others. He also says his own bishop has encouraged him to continue the ministry. The June controversy followed Rossetti's eccentric claim that UFOs "are, in fact, demons." Cardinal McElroy - who had removed him for this claim - later said the decision was not about UFOs but reflected his view that the role of an …More

Called By Name: Fr. Patrick Suh on Mobilizing Parishes for Priestly Vocations "If vocations depend just on me, we're never going to get any." Fr. Patrick Suh joins CatholicTV to share how the Archdiocese of Newark invited parishioners to actively call forth future priests. How do we cultivate a culture of vocations in our local parishes? Fr. Patrick Suh, Vocation Director for the Archdiocese of Newark, sits down with CatholicTV's Jimmy Reynolds to discuss the success of the Called By Name campaign. Fr. Suh shares the providential origins of the initiative—prompted by Cardinal Joseph Tobin—and explains how it launched on Good Shepherd Sunday. Rather than leaving vocation efforts solely to the diocesan office, the campaign empowered families, friends, and fellow parishioners to identify young men in their pews who possess the qualities of a good shepherd. With over 500 unique nominations submitted, Fr. Suh details the next steps: personal invitation letters from the Cardinal, St. Andrew's …More

The Redemption of Man and the Rejection of “Holy Sex” A Patristic and Scholastic Disputation Against the Modern Exaltation of Carnal Pleasure “The first man Adam was made into a living soul; the last Adam into a quickening spirit.” —1 Corinthians 15:45 Prologue: The Question Before Us There is a fundamental question which must be asked before we speak of the holiness of sexual pleasure: What is man? And immediately after that: What became of man through the Fall? For if we begin with fallen man as though his present condition were the standard of human nature, we shall inevitably mistake the wounds of the Fall for the original design of God. This is precisely the danger in the modern exaltation of sexuality. The question is no longer merely: "Is marital intercourse lawful?" The Catholic tradition already answers that question. The more profound question is: "What ought the Christian to desire within the marital act?" And here a profound difference appears between the ascetical tradition …More
[Saint Catherine of Genoa ~ XV-XVI Century; born: Genoa, Republic of Genoa/ died: Genoa, Republic of Genoa; (aged 62-63); Mystic; Spiritual Writer] Chapter XVI ~ THE SAINT SHOWS THAT THE SUFFERINGS OF THE SOULS IN PURGATORY DO NOT DESTROY THEIR PEACE OR THEIR JOY. I SEE that the souls in purgatory in the midst of their pains are sensible of doing two things : First, that they are suffering willingly ; for when they perceive their own deserts and God's Majesty, they think that He is treating them with great leniency in afflicting them as He does ; for had not goodness tempered justice with mercy through the satisfactions of the precious Blood of Jesus Christ, a thousand hells would have been the portion of a single sin through all eternity. Hence they suffer all their pains gladly, and would not rid them of a single pang, knowing that all is justly deserved and righteously ordained : they no more complain of God, so far as their will is concerned, than if they were in life eternal. Secondly …More
"Secondly, they are conscious of feeling positive satisfaction in beholding the love and mercy with which God orders His work within them. They are made sensible of these two facts at one and the same moment, and being in a state of grace, understand them as they are, each soul according to its capacity ; and they experience great happiness, which never grows less, but, on the contrary, goes on increasing the nearer they approach God."

Angela Merkel admitted on camera that she deliberately flooded Germany with Muslim migrants to “stop the far-right.” She preferred to erase her own people and put them in danger rather than risk losing power.
They'd better disclose her personal Stasi archive. She's talking as if she was the head of state of the former DDR. Does she even know how real democracy works?
Saturday, 9th August 1913 Harry Scott and Boots Rogers Recalled to Stand by the State, The Atlanta Constitution Atlanta Constitution August 9th, 1913 When court convened Friday morning Harry Scott, Pinkerton detective, engaged by the defense in the Phagan case, was recalled to the stand by the state and asked how long it took Jim Conley, the negro sweeper, to write a copy of one of the murder notes when it was read off to him and [1 word illegible], dictated word for word. The detective declared that the negro had taken about three or four minutes for this. "Boots" Rogers was next called and asked one question about the condition of the basement. Bishop Mark A. Eckman, 67, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, will bring an end to the traditional Latin Mass at St. Titus Church in Aliquippa after nearly 20-years. Bishop Eckman was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Pittsburgh in 2021. In June 2025, Leo XIV promoted him to Bishop of Pittsburgh. In a letter dated 7 August (see below), Monsignor Eckman announced that the final Mass to be held at St. Titus using the 1962 Missal is scheduled for 4 September. The remaining two traditional Latin Masses in Pittsburgh are offered by the Institute Christ the King in Brighton Heights and by the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X in the West End. Bishop Eckman said his predecessor, Bishop David A. Zubik, received Vatican permission in 2022 to continue the Mass at St. Titus. The initial two-year authorization was extended in September 2024 for another two years. The Bishop didn't seek another extension, “The permission to celebrate according to the older ritual in a parish church was only ever meant to be …More
