The Passion of the Christ movie. WCBOhio on Nov 14, 2015 This is an old episode of What Catholics Believe from 2004. It was recorded shortly after the release of Mel Gibson's film, "The Passion of the Christ". Due to poor picture quality the program was never shown. Hoping there may still be some interest in the discussion however, it was decided to salvage the footage by converting it to black and white and make the best of what was there. The audio is still quite good. The host was James Urling, a Cincinnati area attorney. At the time, What Catholics Believe was broadcast on Time-Warner cable, hence the running time to fit inside a half-hour slot (this is true of all the older series of shows). Also like all the older shows, this one too is small in format. This is due to the deprecated analog NTSC broadcast standards that were used at the time.
Brian Williams on Twitter: Meanwhile in Charlotte, Bishop Martin delegated the washing of feet on Holy Thursday to lay men and women. +Martin did participate to some degree, but at this Jesuit parish where he chose to celebrate Holy Thursday, the laity assumed the role of the clergy for much of the (optional) mandatum.
Many dioceses across Europe, North America, and Asia have seen significant increases in Catholic baptisms and conversions this Easter. The strange thing is that anti-Catholic media including New York Times, Washington Post or CNN advertised this trend. The most significant increase was reported in France, where 21,386 catechumens were baptized during the Easter Vigil. The total included more than 13,000 adults and over 8,000 adolescents, marking the highest figure ever recorded in the country. Outside Europe, large numbers were also reported in parts of Asia. In Hong Kong, approximately 2,500 catechumens were baptized, while Singapore reported 1,089 catechumens entering the Church. In North America, several major dioceses published substantial baptism figures. The Archdiocese of Toronto reported 1,584 catechumens, while Vancouver recorded around 650 catechumens. In the United States, diocesan figures included approximately 900 catechumens in Richmond (Virginia), more than 680 in …Saleuwihna
04/04/2026 Entire blog as a free PDF eBook. “An Inconvenient Study” – A film that leaves no stone unturned…Kla.TV has dubbed this weighty documentary with enormous explosive power in German. Back in 2016, the Henry Ford Health System in Michigan conducted what is probably the most comprehensive vaccinated-to-unvaccinated comparative study on over 18,000 children, nearly 2,000 of whom were completely unvaccinated. And then? Nothing happened for eight years. Complete break in contact with the study’s sponsor. This film shows how, after all these years, the study was finally published and what its revolutionary findings are. Source. The rapid pace of global events draws our attention to the current developments in the Gulf War, while causing us to forget the unpunished crimes of past wars. The tragedy of a world war waged with biological weapons—known as COVID-19—serves, despite millions of victims, merely as a backdrop for further acts of genocide. How does the bombing of Tehran or …

IS THE CATHOLIC CHURCH DIVIDED? (and is Division so Bad?) fr.williamnicholas Fr. Bill addresses divisions within the Catholic Church - why some divisions can be bad, and why some are good for the Church as a whole. Given that Jesus appointed 12 Apostles instead of just 1, could this be what Jesus intended for a Church that is meant to spread throughout the world?

Hegseth Says U.S. Troops Are Fighting for Jesus. The Pope Disagrees. In sharp contrast to the Trump administration’s calls for Christian prayers for the war effort, Pope Leo XIV says military domination is “entirely foreign to the way of Jesus Christ.” nytimes.com/2026/04/03/world/middleeast/pope- … April 3, 2026 Pete Hegseth, the U.S. defense secretary, has asked the American people to pray “every day, on bended knee” for a military victory in the Middle East “in the name of Jesus Christ.” Pope Leo XIV, the first U.S.-born pontiff, has a starkly different take on what should be done in Jesus’s name. In a homily during a Mass on Thursday morning before Easter, the pope said that the Christian mission has often been “distorted by a desire for domination, entirely foreign to the way of Jesus Christ.” Since the United States and Israel began bombing Iran in late February, the pope has consistently called for an end to the violence and a return to dialogue to resolve the conflict. …Saleuwihna
