The parishioners gathered at the park to witness and participate."Brick Parade" - to commemorate how our ancestor woman carried bricks to the site of St. Mary's Church in their aprons. When the horse-drawn wagons bogged down in the mud the women trudged their way through the mud to the wagons, loaded their aprons, and brought them to the construction site.
