Louise Sighouin, the daughter of a Coeur d'Alene chief, embraced the Catholic faith after being baptized by Jesuit missionary Father Pierre-Jean de Smet in 1842, following the arrival of missionaries invited by Indigenous communities seeking Christian teaching. Known for her generosity and wisdom even before her conversion, she became a devoted catechist who taught the faith, cared for the sick, encouraged others, and helped spread Christianity among her people. De Smet regarded her as an extraordinary example of Indigenous Christian holiness, believing that her life reflected the transforming power of the Gospel despite the missionaries' language and cultural challenges. She remained a respected evangelizer until her death in 1853, leaving a lasting legacy within the Coeur d'Alene Catholic community.

Vatican Appeal Court Upholds Conviction of Becciu Accuser: The Vatican Court of Appeal has upheld the conviction of Nicola Giampaolo for slandering Cardinal Angelo Becciu over his role at the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints. The ruling confirms the Vatican Tribunal's October 2025 judgment, leaving Giampaolo's three-and-a-half-year prison sentence and damages in place. The case stemmed from Giampaolo's claims on the Italian TV program Report that money had been requested to advance the beatification cause of former Italian Prime Minister and personal friend of Pope Paul VI, Aldo Moro. The Vatican has now definitively ruled those allegations were criminal slander.

On June 25, skinny Paulist Father Chris Lawton celebrated an annual homosex Eucharist at the Stonewall National Monument in Christopher Park, New York City. Around 150 people attended, reports NcrOnline.org. The Eucharist was organized by the notorious homosexual parish St. Paul the Apostle in Manhattan. It took place at the start of 'New York Pride weekend'. The location was disfigured with dozens of rainbow flags. Fr Lawton apologized to homosexuals for times when the Church had failed to recognize God's presence in them. He believes that „transgender Catholics” continue to face unique injustice within the Church. He added that there is a movement toward inclusion of homosexuals underway in the Church: "The train has left the station. And we are going somewhere." Blessed Pedro De Gante - June 29 Pieter van der Moere, also known as Brother Pedro de Gante or Pedro de Mura (c. 1480 – 1572) was a Franciscanmissionary in sixteenth century Mexico. Born in Geraardsbergen in present-day Belgium, he was of Flemish descent. Since Flanders, like Spain, belonged to the Habsburg Empire and he was a relative of King Charles V (he was thought to be a bastard son of Emperor Maximilian ), he was allowed to travel to the colonies of New Spain as one of a group of Franciscan friars. Gante's group in fact arrived before the 12 Franciscans normally thought of as the first friars in New Spain. In Mexico he spent his life as a missionary, teaching the indigenous population in Christian catechism and dogma. He learned Nahuatl, the language of the Aztecs, and composed a Christian "doctrina". The implementation phase of the synod “will mark a new stage in the reception of the Second Vatican Council,” Cardinal Mario Grech warned the consistory on Saturday. He is a Cardinal and the Vatican's Secretary of the Synod. His lengthy speech, which was around 3,000 words long, was published on Zenit.org. Much of it was repetitive, focusing on buzzwords such as listening, discernment, communion, participation, the 'exchange of gifts', implementation, and 'conversation in the Spirit'. In terms of density of ideas, the speech was low.
