My guess is that 20% are inclined to resist. In practice, only a fraction of a percent actually offer real resistance. If 1-2% of people actively resisted tyranny, the entire population would become ungovernable. One of the reasons in favor of priestly celibacy is that being unencumbered by earthly concerns should make them more inclined to stand up for the truth, even when it is most inconvenient. But, that isn’t even part of present day priestly formation.
02:01Farmers across the United States are sounding the alarm about their land being poisoned by “forever chemicals.”
Toxic chemicals that linger indefinitely in the environment and in our bodies.
The crisis is so widespread that these chemicals are now found in 97% of human blood.
All of this has gotten so much worse while “environmentalists” have complained of almost nothing besides CO2 levels, which do not even constitute pollution.
02:56School video instructs kids
to begin masturbating
The following video is part of a European school program that works closely with the World Health Organization and United Nations to implement their agenda in schools nationwide. It is a real-world example of the execution of these guidelines, in this case, in The Netherlands. The video shows how children are encouraged by teachers to begin masturbating. This video was distributed to many thousands of schools as part of the WHO "comprehensive sexuality education" program, whose objective is that children should start having sex as early as possible.
The publisher of this video, the Rutgers Foundation, operates in 27 nations, is a close partner of the WHO and UN, and is funded by Bill Gates and Planned Parenthood.6
The language spoken in the video is Dutch, but please be aware that this is a real-life example of the execution of an INTERNATIONAL agenda of the World Health Organization and the United Nations, therefore this will be coming …
Back in 1993, Bill Clinton’s original pick for Surgeon General had her nomination scuttled for having promoted this. I doubt it would cause too much controversy today, sadly.
Bishop Stowe Installs Women Acolytes: “I Waited Long Enough…”
change in its national policy.
Nearly four years since Pope Francis changed canon law to allow women to be installed as lectors and acolytes, some dioceses are now moving ahead with ceremonies to formally recognize women in those instituted lay ministries.
“I waited long enough to get any direction from the USCCB,” Bishop John Stowe said, referring to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, which has yet to promulgate new guidelines and norms on the expanded lay ministries.
Stowe installed three women as acolytes during Mass on Nov. 24 at the Cathedral of Christ the King in his Diocese of Lexington, Kentucky. Following his homily, Stowe imparted a blessing onto the acolytes, who typically assist priests in distributing Communion and preparing the altar during Mass.
“It was a nice day to recognize the ministry that these women have already accomplished,” Stowe told National Catholic Reporter. “I would have liked to have done …complicitclergy.com
True, though the officially instituted ministries were still restricted to men until Francis opened them to women, and, seminarians are still instituted into the “lay ministries.” That ought to end, in the present context, in my opinion.
Listen to Women—Birth Control's Side Effects Are Real - Fides et Ratio
Due in large part to social media, young women in particular are speaking out about their negative experiences taking these drugs. A recent piece in the Washington Post accused these women of spreading “misinformation” and “misleading…a vulnerable demographic.” It even went so far as to disregard one woman’s lived negative experience with hormonal birth control simply because she “is not a licensed medical specialist.” In contrast, the authors prominently feature a male OB/GYN and reproductive rights advocate’s favorable opinion on birth control. Throughout his comments, he generally dismisses the experiences of women who’ve decided to discontinue its use. It seems women’s voices matter until they begin to question the mainstream narrative on reproductive health care. https://www.newsweek.com/listen-womenbirth-controls-side-effects-are-real-opinion-1889871karen-early.com
I wonder how many divorces have resulted from women marrying men to whom they were attracted when on the pill, but were disgusted by when they stopped taking it?

Nuchurch Francis opened up the “ministry” of acolyte to women a few years ago. Clearly, the only thing it has in common with the minor order of acolyte is its name. Even Nuchurch should quit installing seminarians as acolytes, as a preparation for priesthood given that this is now officially permitted.
Chicago Cardinal: Don't Kneel for Communion Because of "Community Procession"
Cardinal Blaise Cupich of Chicago, USA, published a note on the liturgy on December 11, mainly to discourage kneeling to receive Holy Communion.
Among many words, the main sentence is this: "The norm established by Holy See for the universal church and approved by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops is for the faithful to process together as an expression of their coming forward as the Body of Christ and to receive Holy Communion standing."
And, "Certainly reverence can and should be expressed by bowing before the reception of Holy Communion, but no one should engage in a gesture that calls attention to oneself or disrupts the flow of the procession."

‘As we pray …’
We all have benefited from the renewal of the church ushered in by the Second Vatican Council. This gathering of the world’s Catholic bishops and heads of religious orders of men took place in four sessions from 1962 to 1965.
Sixteen documents related to church renewal were eventually issued, but it is significant that the council fathers decided that their first document should take up the topic of restoring the way we worship. They took seriously the ancient maxim “lex orandi, lex credenda,” a phrase often associated with Prosper of Aquitaine, a fifth-century Christian writer. It simply means that the law of praying establishes the law of believing.
By recognizing this relationship between how we worship and what we believe, the bishops at the council made clear that the renewal of the liturgy in the life of the church is central to the mission of proclaiming the Gospel. It would be a mistake to reduce the renewal to a mere updating of our liturgy to fit the times we …chicagocatholic.com

00:36FACES OF WATERGATE with DENNIS DAILY -- Fr. Robert Drinan.
hourlynewscaster Drinan introduced a resolution in July 1973 calling for the impeachment of President Richard Nixon, though not for the Watergate Scandal that ultimately ended Nixon's presidency. Drinan believed that Nixon's secret bombing of Cambodia was illegal, and as such, constituted a "high crime and misdemeanor." One year later, the Judiciary Committee voted 21 to 12 against including that charge among the articles of impeachment that were eventually approved and reported out to the full House of Representatives.
Throughout Drinan's political career, his overt support of abortion rights drew significant opposition from Church leaders. They had repeatedly requested that he not hold political office.Drinan attempted to reconcile his position with official Church doctrine by stating that while he was personally opposed to abortion, considering it "virtual infanticide,"its legality was a separate issue from its morality. This …
What a scandal it was to have a pro-abortion priest in the US Congress. And, in one of the final acts of his life, he celebrated a mass to commemorate Nancy Pelosi’s ascendancy to the speakership. He was an absolute disgrace.

Wilton Gregory Dealing With Multi-Million Dollar Deficit
In a bid to fill a multi-million dollar annual operating deficit, the Archdiocese of Washington has announced a sweeping reform of its parish assessment system which would make all donations and parish income, even previously restricted gifts and grants, liable to diocesan taxation.
While several Washington priests say the archdiocesan CFO has said in deanery presentations that the extent of the archdiocesan deficit had been previously obscured by “selective presentation” of archdiocesan finances, a spokesperson told
According to an Oct. 31 letter from Cardinal Wilton Gregory to pastors, the changes to parish assessments — the canonical tax levied by the diocese on parish income — are necessary because the current system has gone unchanged for more than three decades and “failed to keep pace with the increased costs of operating the Pastoral Center.”
The new system will be “more equitable, particularly for the parishes in the lower …complicitclergy.com
It’s not surprising that economic leftists would think that raising tax rates would increase revenue. Hopefully, donations will crash, and they will go bankrupt. Take care of the priests directly.
Cardinal Ruini: John Paul II Was Not a Conservative
"I have had many temptations against the faith, but I have always resisted", Cardinal Camillo Ruini told Corriere.it (8 December) on the occasion of his 70th jubilee as a priest.
In his final year of grammar school, he "quickly" decided, to become a priest: "I thought that in this way I would serve God, in whom I had always believed, and dedicate my whole life to him".
The temptations he experienced against the faith did not necessarily come from Satan, the Cardinal believes: "The temptations came mainly from reading [bad] books. From my studies".
From his time as a parish priest, he recalls the reaction of a mother in a very modest home when he had to tell her that her son had died in a car accident: "All she said was: 'Our Lady suffered more.'"
Silvio Berlusconi, as soon as he became Prime Minister, came to Cardinal Ruini and asked him "what he could do for the Church". Ruini comments: "No Christian Democrat had ever come before. I …
They made “pastoral errors” implementing a pastoral council. The “pastoral error” they made was that they abolished or attenuated any dogma or doctrine that was in the way of their pastoral initiatives.

Presidential salaries have only been increased 5 times since the constitution went into effect in 1789. It was $25k initially. It was $75k from 1909 to 1949, then rising to $100k until 1969, and going to the present $400k in 2001. I believe that George Washington was said to have accepted his salary, which was a king’s ransom at the time, because he didn’t want the presidency to be seen as an office only attainable by the super rich. What it has become, since Bill Clinton, is an office that leads to great wealth after leaving office, which is probably even worse.
Legacy media fear Trump retribution, but ignore years of Obama-Biden attacks on conservative outlets
Journalists and authors including former Fox reporter James Rosen and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza each came under federal scrutiny.
The legacy media has talked itself into a state of hysteria over the notion that Kash Patel, if confirmed as director of the FBI, will target mainstream journalists for retribution for their years of negative coverage of Donald Trump and all in his orbit.
But how does that square with what Trump, the former and now incoming U.S. president, has actually said, and with the fact that, in recent times, it’s Democrats that appear more often accused of going after members of the media who challenge their party’s approved narrative.

There needs to be no retribution against the legacy media, beyond preventing them from being propped up. None of these lefties have any hope of gaining influence in the new media landscape. Does anyone really think that Chris Wallace or Anderson Cooper have any future? Just let them humiliate themselves.
