Transgender Child Care Worker Fired After Offering To “Kiss” Child As A “Prize” – Allah's Willing Executioners

A trans-identified male has lost an employment discrimination case after alleging that he had been wrongfully fired from his job at a childcare center in Letterkenny. The Workplace Relations Commission found that Aleena Starshine had been terminated not due to his gender identity, but as a result of repeat parental complaints and concerns about child safeguarding. According to the Commission’s report, Starshine was first hired to the Craoibhin Community Enterprise Centre on November 7 of 2024. The Centre is a community-based facility focused on providing créche and after-school programs to children from 6 months to 12 years of age. Within one week of being hired, two separate complaints of a serious nature had been lodged against Starshine, who was placed to work with children from 5-12 years of age.
