2017-05-28 – For Souls Who Feel Discouraged Trying to Do God’s Will
My Florecita,
Let us write for My poor little children who suffer the torment of wanting to do My Will, and seeing themselves so poor and incapable of doing it, and who feel like they disappoint Me.
My little ones, receive these Words that come from My Fatherly Heart. Yes, it is I, your Father. Your Abba Who loves you and is happy with your desire to love Me.
Come and lay your little head on My Heart, and rest there; and with every beat of My Heart let My Peace and the certainty that I understand you come into you.
I see you as little children and I receive you as such, happy that My children want to love Me, know Me, obey Me.
I Am the patient Father who does not expect you to give Me everything immediately.
See how I have done everything in nature, even your own formation in your mother’s womb – each part of you is formed little by little – at the beginning you would not have been able to survive outside of your mother’s womb, because your lungs were not yet formed.
See how a tree does not bear fruit immediately, but rather, several seasons and cycles go by before the flower and fruit come.
I do the same in your spirit, little children. Little by little. [smile] Patience. [smile]
Let My Words and My smile drop down into your minds, your hearts, as a refreshing shower. Drink of My Love, little children.
Remember and have before you always that for Me, the simple desire to love Me, to obey Me, to listen to Me, is already to begin doing so. I tell you this so that you have this encouragement. [smile]
Secondly, remember that I understand. I know, I see your efforts and they are enough for Me, they console Me.
Thirdly, remember that you can do nothing without Me – it is I Who make you capable of Loving, of obeying. Holiness – the fulfilment of My Will – is nothing other than letting Me act in you. It is not about what you can do for Me, or for Me to please Me, but rather it is abandoning yourselves to Me and letting Me act in you.
It is to receive Me and to believe Me.
I see your struggles, your torments. I do not ignore them, little children. And I want to help you, console you. Offer Me your pain for all those who do not want to know Me, or love Me, or obey Me.
I take this suffering and use it, children, also to purify you of any trace of pride that could be hidden in you – without you being aware of it – and that causes you to have these feelings of sadness, uselessness, “I can’t do anything,” that come from a desire to do everything on your own.
You cannot trust in yourselves nor do anything on your own, children, [smile] do not try it. [smile] It will only bring you sadness and disappointment, and you will end by abandoning Me saying that I am a hard God, Who demands too much of His children. A God Who does not understand.
No, children, stop looking at yourselves and look at Me. Look at My Face full of joy when I see you come to spend a little while with Me; or when I see you make an effort to please Me; when I see you smile at Me.
Smile at Me, children. [smile] I love you, I Am your Father and you are My little children.
You think, then why does He ask so many things of us – that we should do this, and this, and that; that we be this, and that, and that way; that we be perfect as He is – if all of this is impossible for us to do?
Yes, My Jesus has said, “Be perfect as your Father Who is in Heaven is perfect.”[1]
What does it mean to be “perfect”? It is to have the fullness of something, the wholeness of something. And in My case, children, in what does this perfection consist of, what is this “something” in which I Am perfect and in which I ask you to imitate Me?
[smile] My Perfection, children, is the perfection of Love, [smile] the fullness of Love.
I Am the Fountain and Root of Love. In Me is present ALL Love. And when I ask you to be perfect as I Am, it is an invitation for you to receive this Love and for this Love to become full in you. That you too – each one of My children – have this fullness of Love within you.
And what is this fullness of Love?
It is Me in you.[2]

My Florecita, little daughter, let us continue. [smile]
You will write here the verse of the Psalm that I had you read a few nights ago, when you opened the Psalter at random.
(Before going to sleep, He had asked me to open the Psalter at random and to read the third verse on the left page.)
Psalm 118(119):32
“I run in the way of Your Commandments,
because You enlarge my heart!”
My children, in this simple verse is found a great secret; a secret that is repeated in so many places in My Sacred Scriptures, My Will made Words so that you can understand it.
This secret, little children, is the secret of perfection, the secret of doing My Will: the being able to “run” along the way of My Commandments. In other words, fulfilling them, advancing speedily along the Way of My Will, is attained – how? [smile] By letting Me “enlarge” your heart.
How does the heart broaden, what does this mean?
It means that you give Me your will and you let Me accomplish My work in you.
It means that you give Me your heart so that I place in it all that is necessary for you to advance in My ways – it means that you open the door for Me so that the torrent of Love from My Heart enters into yours, and carries you along My ways, faster and faster, in the measure in which you submerge yourselves more and more in My Love and you abandon yourselves to My Action within you.
It is I Who make you capable of following Me. It is I Who make your heart “larger” and “larger,” capable of doing what I ask of you; it is I Who – placing My Love in you, and you cooperating with Me by receiving it – make you truly My children – MY CHILDREN, by My Will, by the Blood of My Jesus, the tears of My Mary, and your own will.
If you wish to “advance” in My ways, which is nothing other than drawing nearer and nearer to Us, making our union closer and closer, you must let Me act in you – setting aside your own criteria and thoughts, allowing Me to show you My Will.
I remind you of the Words of My Jesus:
“Unless you become like little children,
you cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven.”[3]
“Remain in Me. Whoever remains in Me and I in him,
will bear much fruit.”[4]
Children, the life of the spirit is simple, but it has been made humanly complicated by thousands and thousands of human criteria that are not Mine.
What is the life of the spirit?
To receive Me. To believe Me. To love Me.
To be My children. To let Me be your Father, your Abba.
My children, this is what I ask for in essence, this is the desire of My Heart that second by second, century after century, I have tried to communicate to you through any means possible: “I Am your Father, and you are My children. I love you so much that I give EVERYTHING to have you with Me forever. Believe Me. Love Me. Let Me take you in My arms along the ways of My Love and My Will. Be My little ones, and you will know the depths of My tenderness and of My Love.”
This, children, is what comes forth from My Fatherly Heart unceasingly. This is the constant call that I make to your hearts. Everything that I ask for, all I permit, everything that I do and say, has this Seal of Love. EVERYTHING.
It is enough to receive this desire from My Heart as a precious jewel within you, and I will do the rest – We will come, little ones, to dwell in you – All of God, your Father, Who out of love comes to “dwell,” that is, to livecompletely with you.
You cannot understand in reality what this means, children, but you can receive it in Faith.
And it is My Presence in you that gives you all that is necessary to let Me act.
Give Me your will, your Faith, trust and abandonment. Love Me like children, and I will do the rest, and you will see and you will have the freedom of the little birds that fly and let themselves be carried by the currents of air in the immensity of the sky.
I want to do with you the same thing – to give you the wings of faith and trust in My Fatherly Love, so that you can fly and you can let Me carry you in the immensity of My Love and of My Plans.
Children, let Me enlarge your heart.

You ask yourselves, little children, why then do I ask for so many things: prayers, novenas, sacrifices, abstinences, etc., etc., etc.
Children, there are only a few who have the faith and trust necessary to abandon themselves to Me as children and who let Me take care of their “sanctification,” of their union with Me.
There is the mistaken idea that sanctity depends on your action, on your will.[5] Children, it depends above all on My Will and on My action in you.
You think that pleasing Me is found in your “feeling spiritual”; in the fulfillment of different requirements, and you forget that what a Father desires above all else from His children is their Love and trust.
Children, in My different Manifestations and Messages throughout time, I have given prayers, novenas, promises, etc., to give you a guide, an idea of My Love – if you cannot believe Me as children, you could at least say these prayers, and I would take your obedience for your own good.[6]
See, reflect, meditate on these prayers – what is behind all of them? MY LOVE.
Happy the soul who can begin to see this Love of Mine, so simple and full, in My works, in My Words, and thus receive them with the simplicity of children.
These souls I can take into My arms and clasp to My Heart, and make them run towards union with Me.
Come to Me with simplicity, with childlike Love, knowing that I understand your weaknesses, how useless you feel.
I see your Love – the rest is secondary, children. I need your Love and your will. I do the rest in you. The rest comes from Our dwelling in you.
Everything, children, is about being united to Me in everything and forever.
This is the purpose of everything: the union of Love with Me forever.[7]
Let Me take you to this union. Only I can do this in you. Only I. Give Me your will and Love Me.
This is what I ask for. Now and always.
I bless you, children of My Love.

[5] I understand this to mean not that our will is unnecessary, but that the best way for our will to cooperate with the Father’s Will, with His Grace, is precisely by the surrendering of our will to His. Imitating Our Blessed Mother when She said, “Let it be done to Me according to thy word.” (Lk. 1:38) The greatest possible “Fruit” of the Father’s Will – Jesus Incarnate – came to be not by Our Blessed Mother having done something humanly to make this happen, but rather by completely surrendering to the Father’s Will. This is the sense in which the Father is saying, “…it depends above all on My Will, on My Action.”
[6] This does not mean that such prayers, devotions or practices are unnecessary or irrelevant. No. If the Father gives them to us, if in His Wisdom and Love He sends them to us, asks for them, it is because He knows we need them, they are good things, useful for our soul, and so we should receive them with gratitude and love. He is trying to help us see that His Love is so simple, and our trust and childlike Faith are enough in order to receive His Love in full. All the prayers, devotions and practices are helps, their purpose is to lead us to union with God, this is why there are so many and of such variety. But the Lord can lead us to this union with Him simply by means of abandonment, childlike Faith, and trust, as He did with St. Therese of Lisieux.

God the Father. For souls who feel discouraged trying to do God’s Will.
NOTE: We would like to note that in this message the Lord is neither addressing perfect Christians nor the lukewarm, unrepentant or hypocritical. As the title suggests, He is addressing souls that are discouraged, but sincerely trying to do God’s will. Therefore, His message and manner is that of a loving Father rather than a just Judge.
