Members of an Islamic sect have been arrested in the UK for slavery and forced marriages.
Over 500 police officers have raided the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light in #Crewe, England.
Police say members were arrested for human trafficking, sexual assault, rape, forced marriage, and modern-day slavery. A total of six men and three women were arrested.

The Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light (AROPL) is a religious sect that derives from Shia Islam and has charity status in the UK. According to the Guardian, 150 people, 56 of them being children, live together in the gated property in Crewe.
