"The Lowly Pea"

In the July edition of the Magnificat about Holy Places features the essay titled, "The Lowly Pea." It's written by Professor Anthony Esolen. It's a wonderful story of faith and science. Gregor Mendel was a great geneticist, meteorologist and mathematician, but most of all he was an Augustinian friar. The Church has had many men of science, from Louis Pasteur to Blaise Pascal to Nicolaus Copernicus, in pursuit of the truth. So, the idea that religion and science are at odds is just a myth.
