On Saturday morning, abortion militants disrupted a Eucharist at Westminster Cathedral amid demonstrations against the annual March for Life UK. The 10:30am Eucharist was part of the March for Life programme and was led by Archbishop Richard Moth of Westminster, alongside 14 other bishops. Footage showed security removing at least two abortion militants from the church.

Priest. Benedictine. Spiritual student of Saint Columban and Saint Gall at Arbon (part of modern Switzerland). Superior of his house following the death of Saint Gall. At the request of the bishop of Augsberg, Bavaria, he evangelized in Eptaticus in the eastern part of Allgäu, Bavaria. By the River Lech in Bavaria, in a place still known as Sant Mangstritt (footstep of Saint Magnus) he founded the monastery of Füssen.
Some extraordinary stories grew up around Magnus, often involving animals. In Kempten he dispersed a plague of snakes. At Füssen, he was forced to expel a dragon from the land he needed for the monastery; in one version of the story, he spared an infant dragon who helped local farmers by hunting rats, mice and other crop-damaging vermin. Pro-life March in London

THOUSANDS DEFEND UNBORN LIFE IN UK MARCH | SG News
Thousands of pro-life supporters marched through central London on September 5 for the annual March for Life UK, gathering in a public witness to the dignity of human life from conception to natural death. Participants travelled from the Emmanuel Centre in Westminster toward Parliament Square, singing Christian hymns and carrying banners as the annual demonstration returned to the heart of the British capital. This year’s programme also included a Pro-Life Family Summit and Youth Summit, featuring talks and testimonies on family life, motherhood, fatherhood, abortion and Christian witness. Fifteen Catholic bishops joined the gathering after participating in a morning Mass at Westminster Cathedral. Southwark Archbishop John Wilson said participants were united “to say that human life matters, that every life matters, from conception to natural death.” Other Catholic clergy also spoke about the need to defend human dignity at every stage …More

Saint Donatien - 6 septembre

AMERICAN SCOUNDREL: Roy Cohn’s Dark Journey From Joe McCarthy to Donald Trump, by Kai Bird with Susan Goldmark
Kai Bird was apparently as surprised as anyone to find himself writing a book about the notorious lawyer Roy Cohn.
A self-described “biographer of the American establishment,” Bird would regularly come across the virulently anti-establishment Cohn in the archives. In “American Prometheus,” the Pulitzer Prize-winning biography of Robert Oppenheimer that Bird co-authored with Martin J. Sherwin, Cohn inevitably shows up as the aide to the red-baiting Senator Joseph McCarthy.

Today, Leo XIV joked with children at the Vatican’s annual Family Day for employees and their families. “How much is six-seven?” he asked, while making the hand gesture from the viral “6-7” meme. He then answered 13 - turning the deliberately meaningless meme into 6+7. Teenagers followed with another slang: “Papa, can you say ‘aura’?” Leo looked puzzled and repeated: “Aura?” - prompting more laughter. Online, “aura” refers to someone’s coolness, charisma or presence. Young people jokingly give or take away “aura points” depending on what someone does.

Pope Leo XIV makes a dad joke to kids about 6-7, saying “how much is 6 + 7? It’s 13.”

It’s obvious they’re stealing bread. The progressive secular religion: it’s always someone else’s fault. The rules aren’t fair. The system is systematically racist.

They steal to get money for drugs. The Commandment THOU SHALT NOT STEAL has no exceptions. Plain and simple. AMEN.

Dominic Auricchio says he first felt called to the priesthood at age 4, after a dream in which he says God spoke to him. Five years later, doctors discovered a mass in his brain. In 2023, Dominic says he had a vision of a woman he believes was the Virgin Mary, who told him everything would be OK. A subsequent scan showed the mass had begun to shrink, and surgery was no longer considered necessary. His mother believes God healed him. Medication may have contributed to the improvement. Now 13, Dominic remains active in his Catholic parish and says he hopes to join the Marines before pursuing the priesthood.

While most 4-year-olds were speaking to Elmo, Lil’ Dominic Auricchio was talking to the man upstairs. “I had a dream and God came to me,” the now 13-year-old recalled to The Post. “He told me to be a priest, and then I went into my mom’s bedroom . . . it was the middle of the night . . . and ever since then I’ve wanted to become a priest,” he said. The rising eighth-grader at Holy Trinity School in Westfield, NJ, has kept his commitment to the cloth — alongside other aspirations. Dominic Auricchio won the prestigious Cardinal Joseph Tobin Essay & Video Contest, with his entry about his divine encounters and how they inspired him to become a priest. Archdiocese of Newark “He came home one day and said, ‘I think I’m gonna be the first priest astronaut,'” his mom Maria recalled. “It’s now priest slash Marine. I want to become a Marine first and then join the priesthood,” said Dominic, whose father, Neal, is a Marine who served two tours in Iraq and was awarded the Purple Heart. Dominic …

The Anglican St. Paul’s Cathedral in London has entered a four-year partnership with Fabric, one of the city’s best-known nightclubs. Fabric will stage contemporary music events inside the cathedral through 2030. The first concert is scheduled for October 29. The artist has not yet been announced. St. Paul’s says the program aims to attract new visitors and introduce them to the cathedral through music and culture. The partnership follows earlier performances by RY X and Patti Smith.

BRAZILIAN CATHOLIC COUPLE CELEBRATES ‘OAK ANNIVERSARY’ | SG News
A Catholic couple from Brazil has touched hearts around the world after celebrating an extraordinary milestone — 80 years of marriage. Luiz Luize, 99, and his wife Maria Luiza Rossi Luize, 98, marked their 80th wedding anniversary with a deeply Catholic celebration surrounded by their family and loved ones. Video footage shared on social media shows the elderly couple entering the church together with rosaries in their hands before renewing their marriage vows and receiving a blessing at the altar. The couple also received a special apostolic blessing from Pope Leo XIV in recognition of their remarkable anniversary. Luiz and Maria Luiza married on July 4, 1946, when he was 19 and she was 18. Over eight decades together, they built a family that now includes four children, nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Catholic school board wrong to force trustee to apologize for LGBT meme: court - LifeSite

Fri Sep 4, 2026 - 1:48 pm EDT (LifeSiteNews) — The Alberta Court of Appeal ruled that a school board was wrong to demand that former Catholic school trustee Monique LaGrange offer a public apology for posting a meme comparing LGBT “pride” with Nazism on the grounds that the apology was compelled speech and an attempt at public humiliation. In August 2023, LaGrange posted a disappearing Facebook story depicting children holding Nazi flags next to an image of children holding “pride” flags with the caption: “Brainwashing is brainwashing.” LGBT activist Kristopher Wells called the post “horrific” and said that he was “disgusted.” Wells, who is now a senator, has posted a meme comparing Christians who oppose LGBT ideology to Nazis, a comparison he apparently did not find “horrific.” In September 2023, LaGrange was removed from her position as director of the Alberta Catholic School Trustees’ Association, and on September 26, Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools censured her from committees …

Nevertheless, LaGrange was censured and punished, and that she didn’t have to apologize is a minor victory. The real message here is that the sexual religion of gender identity and sexual orientation trumps Catholicism. And parents do little while the bishops remain silent.
