Sing the Hours

Hi all! My name is Paul Rose and I'm here to serve and glorify God with prayer. The goal of Sing the Hours is: 1. To offer a beautiful and acceptable sacrifice of worship to God. 2. To assist people, priests and lay alike, in learning to sing the Liturgy of the Hours. 3. To inspire increased participation in the Divine Office. 4. To renew the Church by encouraging the people of God to pray the Offices regularly and communally. The Liturgy of the Hours is the public prayer of the Universal Church–composed by the Spirit, fulfilled by Christ, and compiled by his Bride, the Holy Church! To pray the Liturgy of the Hours–also called the Divine Office–is to enter into the intimate conversation of God's family. The Divine Office follows a &quot;Psalter,&quot; which is a methodical cycle of praying the Psalms of David from the Bible. As such, the Divine Office is musical by nature, and the canonical norm is to sing it!Before starting this channel, I searched for months for an online guide to singing the hours, but couldn't find anything! Since I have a musical and production background, I discerned that I had the tools necessary to make this offering for others.Here we are!
