The Annuario Pontificio still describes Rupnik as a Jesuit, although he was expelled from the Society in July 2023, the official reason given being his "refusal to observe the vow of obedience". On 28 March 2024, Rupnik was still listed as a consultant on the website of Roche's Dicastery for the Liturgy. It is no secret that Bergoglio's Vatican is run by incompetent and mediocre people. On 28 March, an anonymous man allegedly damaged one of the paintings with spray paint and a knife and injured the painter in an alleged scuffle. The painter claimed to have been "stabbed" but only had a scratch on his chin. There is no picture of the damage to the painting or the alleged wounds on the painter.
